WA Syphilis POCT Program

Upcoming Program Changes

From July 1 2024, the WA Department of Health Syphilis POCT Program will be solely managed by the WA Department of Health. Please note: this does not impact WA ACCHOs enrolled in the ESR Program.

Moving forward, all queries and concerns regarding syphilis point-of-care testing will be directed to the WA Department of Health team. You can get in touch with them here:

syphilispoct@health.wa.gov.au or 08 9222 2404.

Please let them know if you did not receive the program changes document and would like to know about the upcoming variations.

Flinders staff will continue to support operators until Friday 28th June.

AJ Rustia, WA Scientific Coordinator, would like to thank all WA DoH Operators for their hard work and contribution in combatting the syphilis outbreak across WA. For those that I had the absolute pleasure of meeting via teleconference, in person, during training or over the phone – I am incredibly grateful to have worked with you. Keep testing!
